Read through the release notes and check what bugs have been fixed since 7.3.2: http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.3/static/release.html So - don't use 7.3.2 AT ALL - upgrade to a more recent release. The latest version is 8.3.5, and that would be a good choice.
