Okay, google revealed more Apple evil empire nonsense. Starting in Mountain
Lion, when you try to launch an app for the first time that is from an
unknown developer, instead of telling you that, they give you this totally
misleading message. The fix is to temporarily allow apps from all sources in
the System Preferences [1]. Once Launcher has been launched once, you can
change it back.
