Public bug reported:

The <year>, <month>, etc. date tags pull the date from exif "date"
field.  However, it should pull from "original date" field as the
programs that rotate the images (or modify them to fix redeye, etc.)
update the exif "date" field.  The original date is the one you care
about.  If that field is not entered, it should default to the basic
date field, but the main one should be "original date".
