You're right about the names. I've changed them to hasUnsharedXXX to
prevent this from being a permanent wart, but included aliases to
prevent breaking existing code.

Yah. I should have said when hasLocalAliasing was first checked in -
it's a poor choice of name that has me running to the docs whenever I
see it. hasUnsharedAliasing is more descriptive.
