This happens every time I try. I stuck in a dirty, scratched CD, FX Fighter to be precise (though other very dirty CDs have caused this problem), into my Verbatim 48x24x50x recorder. The motor spun up and stayed spinning for a long time. When I ran Eject, and after a couple minutes it went into an endless loop, saying it was resetting the SCSI bus. Other stuff lost a lot of responsiveness. Ctrl-Alt-Delete put it into runlevel 6 (or whatever runlevel it normally goes into), but it just stayed there in it's endless Eject loop.
I have a slight suspicion that this has to do with Red Hat's fantastic burn:/// feature. I have this suspicion only because a couple times I put in very scratched CDs it opened them up with burn:///. Other than that, I have no foundation for this theory. (-: -- Phoebe-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/phoebe-list
