As I said... we don't support 3rd party drivers ourselves, so 
this is currently something you have to get support for from your 
hardware vendor directly (if they provide such support).

Phoebe contains XFree86 4.3.0 (4.2.99.x previously), and to my 
knowledge, ATI has not yet released 4.3.0 updates of their 
drivers.  You'd have to wait until they officially support 4.3.0 
I guess.

However, as I stated in another mail too, Radeon 9000 is directly 
supported with both 2D and 3D in Phoebe already.
