Prove me wrong...start yer own for-profit gaming linux distro, base it on Red Hat even to make yer life a little easier at the beginning, and see how quickly you move into the financial red with it.
The fallacy was the idea that mandrake failed because of the gaming edition - however the reasons for the state of mandrake are IMHO not quite so simple.

Gaming is a possible interpretation of interesting, there are certainly others - I watched "The Ring" DVD on my linux box the other day and I thought that was cool - so was the Fat Boy Slim video that so cracked me up recently. Of course it's also cool to watch movie trailers at quicktime.com or do online banking, depending on who you talk to -
