Bingo! That sounds familiar. I do use to run "rpm -qa | grep" a lot, and i did install cpan2rpm on that system at a time close to when the bug hit (not sure if before or after). However, i've seen this bug even with genuine Red Hat update packages. I may be wrong, but i think i've seen it once even when running the cute RHN panel applet. The bug is not connected to a particular piece of hardware. I've seen it on: - my workstation at the office (2xPIII/800, 1GB RAM, 4xSCSI) - my home PC (1xAthlonXP/1800, NForce mobo, 512MB RAM, 1xIDE) - different random PIII machines All of the above is for RH 8.0. Didn't see it with Phoebe (yet). -- Florin Andrei "When banner ad revenue for a media outlet becomes more important than accuracy, it's time to find a new profession." - Tim Mullen -- Phoebe-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/phoebe-list
