Radeon IGP is totally unsupported, however I will very soon be releasing an experimental radeon driver which includes initial experimental Radeon IGP support. >I have tried the current phoebe X version and the 4.3 version from mike >harris' site. No, you're not doing anything wrong, it's just totally unsupported currently. >The 4.2 redhat-config-XFree86 probes the card as a Radeon Mobility 9000 >and uses the VESA module for X. Correct, because the Radeon driver contains no code to support the chip. >I'd like to get this up and running with 3D capability for CAD and the >obligatory UT game once in a while. > >Can someone tell me which module/version of X to use or help me locate >the id10t error that is most suspected? No error, nothing to locate. http://www.linux.org.uk/~mharris There is nothing there right now, however, when I have released the new Radeon driver, it will be made available on that web page first. Please just keep checking that web page, and also please do not email me (anyone) asking me if the driver is ready or when it will be ready. I plan on putting this driver together and making it available in my spare time, but that wont be for a week or more likely, possibly 2 or even more. Hope this helps. TTYL -- Mike A.
