Yes. I e-mailed Intel's Centrino support when I saw this article; the people there seemed a bit surprised to hear that they had any Linux plans whatsoever. The news article says that "Final validation will be based on customer demand and timing", and "Intel hasn't yet decided whether to release its Linux work for Centrino as open-source software". This may be a good time to e-mail Intel ([EMAIL PROTECTED] is what I started with; got replies back from the friendly people at [EMAIL PROTECTED]) and have yourself counted as "customer demand", and mention that you'd really like the drivers to actually have source. -- Matthew Miller [EMAIL PROTECTED] <http://www.mattdm.org/> Boston University Linux ------> <http://linux.bu.edu/> -- Phoebe-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/phoebe-list
