Read the GPL, in particular the clause about software patents. There does not exist a written document produced by the patent owner which authorizes unrestricted usage and redistribution of the patent. What other companies choose to do in those circumstances, is not the business of Red Hat. Draw your own conclusions. -- Mike A.
