uh oh. I bought a new-old-stock Edisonic, too ... also for $125, but around 1983. I don't recall from WHOM, though. I must find it & look at the diamond; I never used it much but came to the conclusion that the Edisonic couldn't be used on earlier records because it injured them. I've been trying to figure out where I read that the Edisonic should be used only on 'white label' Diamond Discs, and perhaps it was in the dealer's own catalogue.
