Steve the reproducer nut here.

This is the last type of the M, it was made into a trowel like the model O to 
reduce wear on the wax four minute records.

There are at least four types of the M I know of.  

The first M has a flattened K type weight, I know of one that used to belong to 
Aaron Cramer.

The second has the short turn over rod that is unique to the M with the M 
stamped on top of the round weight.

The next type has the M stamped underneath with the short stem.

The next has the long stem that is the same as the model O.  

The final version of the M has the trowel like the final version of the O.

I will send you a photo of the early L and the info I have on the early L and M 
if you are interested.   All I have are photos.

Steve:  I have seen model M's with nickel plated weights and also in the 
copper gun-metal finish.  Can you tell by serial numbers when they were 
produced?
