I wanted to drop you all a line to see if anyone wants to speculate on how well a method I am going to try for cleaning/restoring cylinder boxes will work. I am going to remove the liners, mist the liners & boxes with a proprietary solution to kill the mold, and then am going to put them in an ozone chamber to remove the ancient smell. If this works as I suspect, it would render the liners & boxes as chemically new as possible, while still retaining the antique look of being a century-old chunk of pasteboard.
