Hi Phonograph Friends,,,, All this good feedback concerning Ken's great phonograph interests and hardships, inspired me to send this, for it just is not all about all of the phonographs we collected and care about, it's also about the collector friends here on Phono-L and other phonograph groups who helped us with their knowledge, sharing, time spent here, computer links to great phonograph sights, things for sale and the good list goes on...for I have missed mentioning a lot that has been on Phono-L over the years. Phonolist and 78-c are great also!! My 'home' thoughts; I realized when I first started caring about phonographs, followed by Thomas A. Edison learning, that a whole new chapter in my life started. Oh,,, all the 'snail mail' I sent off back in the late 1980's and 1990's before computer! So why stop at phonos and records? There must be related postcards, books, postage stamps, fdc's, newspaper articles, modern collectibles, VCR's, DV D's all of which are related to our phonograph and Edison ect. hobby,, and who can leave out Nipper? Hubby Bill helped me with my quest, with going to auctions, helping with boxing and booking records and being my support as an interested woman collector. Hubby Bill passed away April, 2010. Now I am getting back 'in the groove' and still care. Go Ken!! I guess we all have an interesting 'home' story to tell for it is also a part of our caring over the years with phonograph Friends. I remember when MAPS was in it's youth and John Whiticare was editor. A small newsletter, but a great help to me as a beginner. How far MAPS has come and I look forward to each issue, as I do of CAPS (CA) newsletters. Was a member when Bob Sitter was Editor. Karyn and I are still in touch. Now I wrote this,,, to delete or send? Joan L. in PA _______________________________________________ Phono-L mailing list http://phono-l.org
