--- 2014 ARSC CONFERENCE: CONFERENCE HOTEL SOLD OUT --- --- EARLY-REGISTRATION DEADLINE APPROACHING: APRIL 22 --- The 48th annual ARSC Conference, hosted by the Southern Folklife Collection, University of North Carolina, will be held May 14-17, at the Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel. Our room block at the Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel is essentially sold-out, though there may be single rooms available for non-peak nights. We have arranged for overflow rooms at the Quality Inn Chapel Hill, located at 1740 North Fordham Blvd., just two blocks from the Sheraton. A block of rooms (2 double beds or 1 king bed, non-smoking) has been held for ARSC at the rate of $62 per night plus tax. For reservations, call (919) 968-3000 and request the ARSC group rate. This offer expires on May 2. After that date, all rooms are subject to availability at the prevailing rate.
