This problem also occurs with GD 2.0.1, on earlier and later kernels (on separate machines), and on machines which are both fresh installs and which have had PHP (and older versions of gd) installed before. There was an error while compiling gd.c: gd.c:92: conflicting types for `gdIOCtx' /usr/local/include/gd_io.h:18: previous declaration of `gdIOCtx' It works, if I've uncomment the line 92 in gd.c.
