i use timestamp everywhere i can. but the user (in that case - the client) wants to enter in that format - Mar '02 ... anyway i will figure it out somehow ... :) Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-04-30 16:13:30] [EMAIL PROTECTED] That's the wrong approach for sorting dates. Keep a unix timestamp of the date and sort after it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-04-30 16:11:19] [EMAIL PROTECTED] the sorting functions worked fine for me until two days ago, when i was doing a date sorting of interviews in the site i recently do. so my request :) is (and something that i think is VERY usefull) is date sorting. for example - if i have dates like that - "Feb '02", "Mar '01" and so on - i want to sort them by asc and desc. date() has such "short" date creaton - Feb, Mar, etc... - which is just one side of the medalion :). adding date sorting in "short" dates is the other ... :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=16935&edit=1
