Did you really use that configure line? The correct configure option to enable xmlrpc is '--with-xmlrpc'. XML-RPC module is compiled in, but none of the functions are defined. XML-RPC variables (xmlrpc_error_number and xmlrpc_errors ) are defined though (and can be seen using phpinfo()).
