hi again

but configure has it as an option

sudo ./configure --help | grep readline
--with-libedit[=DIR] Include libedit readline replacement (CLI/CGI
only)
--with-readline[=DIR] Include readline support (CLI/CGI only)

regards

Thank you for taking the time to write to us, but this is not
a bug. Please double-check the documentation available at
http://www.php.net/manual/ and the instructions on how to report
a bug at http://bugs.php.net/how-to-report.php

Right, this option doesn\'t exist and you used it... and ./configure
tells you in a friendly way that you\'re using an option that has no
effect
