It works here. Maybe some invalid redirect from one of your box? Did
you try this script from the same machine or network?

Summary:
5.2.9 + 7.19.4, x64, fails.
5.2.6 + 7.19.4, x64, works.
snaps 5.2-20090318153 + 7.19.4 x64, fails.
snaps 5.2-20090318153 + 7.15.5 x64, works.

Do I get it right?

Well PHP 5.2.6 works with older and newer versions of Curl. (see
orignal description of problem).

There appears to be something that was implemented in newer versions of
PHP (later than 5.2.6) that is causing a problem. My guess would be
something new (such as COPYPOSTFIELDS) implemented in recent versions of
Curl that newer versions of PHP are trying to use.

If it works with older Curl version but not the new one, how is this
PHP bug?
