Snapshot PHP5.2 works fine, because 5.2 uses different vesion of php.ini than 5.3. In php.inis in 5.3.0RC1 there are comments marked with semicolons and one of the semicolons is missing - line 581 - so it's impossible to configure PHP if somebody doesn't know about it. The error is in "php-5.3.0RC1.tar.gz" downloaded directly from php.net. There is no need to compile it to find where it is. The ini file wasn't parsed from that line down. It took me a while to find it out.
