I'm having problem when using mariaDB php and wordpress. In cli mariadb is running good no problem in imports and export but when I install wordpress it show: "Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress." hope anyone has an idea on this to help me out Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2010-04-26 12:27:56] koteskie at gmail dot com Perhaps i had to ask before how it would be possible to use MariaDB using libmysql or mysqlnd as I didn't find anything in the docs about the subject. Could you perhaps elaborate on the howto? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2010-04-26 12:24:50] johan...@php.net The MariaDB developers didn't change the client protocol in any way. MySQL Connectors need no changes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2010-04-26 12:23:25] paj...@php.net What else do you need to connect to MariaDB? MariaDB is 100% compatible with standard mysql clients, uncluding libmysql or mysqlnd. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2010-04-26 12:19:50] koteskie at gmail dot com Description: ------------ I would really like to see support for MariaDB in PHP's PDO stack. Are there any plans for supporting that ? MariaDB is recently released in it 's first stable version which is fully mysql backwards compatible and has some very interesting new features and support for other storage engines like PBXT. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=51665&edit=1
