Restart your web-server and check phpinfo() again.

It may be a Windows installation issue - but the installation was via the
install version from the windows.php.net download link. So, it's built into it.

Quite likely some installation issue on windows, works fine on *nix.

Am I sure? You did see the reference to "phpinfo()" - right?
It shows the one and only "php.ini" file that exists on this server and
instance and it's the one I edited.
