the patch should go to [EMAIL PROTECTED], CC: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I was not able to download the patch from the URL you posted. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-12-11 09:36:53] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please read the CODING_STANDARDS and README.SUBMITTING-PATCH files in the php4/ directory; mail the patch as a MIME attachment (give it a .txt extension if your mailer doesn't set the mime type correctly, as binary attachments are stripped from the list), and CC the patch to the maintainer (that's me, [EMAIL PROTECTED]). Please also describe in more detail what the patch changes and or fixes, with a couple of lines of sample code. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-12-11 08:51:13] [EMAIL PROTECTED] I required the use of public keys (not certificates) for a current project, so I patched ext/openssl/openssl.c to support public keys. The patch can be found at http://www.jeroenderks.com/php-4.4.0-dev-openssl.c.diff I tries to read a public key if reading a certificate failed in php_openssl_evp_from_zval(). Also a check was added to check whether a private key was requested and only a public key is available. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=20936&edit=1
