Unfortunatelly, I'm not using my own laptop, so I can't do that... besides, I
can't afford myself to buy the latest Windows OS

5.5 serie does not support windows XP anymore. Stick to 5.3 or 5.4 if you still
use XP (which is not maintained anymore, you should really move to a more
recent
windows).

When I had downloaded and extracted the archive: VC11 x86 Thread Safe
(2013-Jul-18 20:59:48), I tryed to run the php (and then php-cli) executable,
but in both cases I had recieved the error mentioned in the actual results

In place of <file.exe> should be placed php.exe or php-cli.exe
