Will everyone please ignore my mail() bug with a 'ORDER' in capitals.
It was a totally unrelated problem. My apologies.

including the word 'ORDER', in capitals, anyhwere in the subject of the
mail() function causes the email not to arrive, even though the
function returns 1(php v 4.1.2)

After a few emails this really got solved.
