Sorry, but your problem does not imply a bug in PHP itself. For a
list of more appropriate places to ask for help using PHP, please
visit http://www.php.net/support.php as this bug system is not the
appropriate forum for asking support questions.

Thank you for your interest in PHP.

Expected behavior.

Description:
------------
The closing php tag, ?>, doesn't seem to be required. Is it a bug or a
feature? I consider it to be a feature since php has operated this way
as long as I have been using it, but a contemporary considers it to be
a bug, since it is not documented. I agree with him somewhat, but only
on the fact that it does not appear to be documented anywhere whether
this is acceptable or not.

Reproduce code:
---------------
<?
echo "Hello World!";

Expected result:
----------------
Hello World!

Actual result:
--------------
Hello World!
