In an attempt to replicate the problem I have uninstalled everything and started afresh. 1) Install Apache1.3.x. After configuration changes, server is working perfectly. 2) Install PHP5RC1. LoadModule works fine, no problems. AddType works fine, no problems. The second AddModule is added, apache will crash every second(???) time it is restarted. 3) Add named virtual hosting Editing the httpd.conf and enabling NameVirtualHost will result in the server crashing every time it is started. Please, PLEASE tell me ANYTHING I can do to help you fix this problem. I've tried php5b4, same problem. I've tried apache2, same problem.
