Apparently this is now fixed in MySQL-5.0.1. I can now run the mysqli libraries, but not mysql. I suspect that PHP-5 left in some mysqli functions that were not a part of MySQL-5.0.0 anymore. I can hardly wait to use the stored procedures from MySQL 5 inside PHP 5.
