The mysql library and/or imap library need to name-space protect their symbols. I am compiling it on Solaris 8, but really need this fixed in order to compile the latest php code. This was not a problem with mysql 4.0 branch. So, might not be something which can be avoided in php compile. configure works fine. make is where it fails. only when it tries linking everything together. afaik.
