Please try using this CVS snapshot: http://snaps.php.net/php5-latest.tar.gz For Windows: http://snaps.php.net/win32/php5-win32-latest.zip I can _NOT_ reproduce this on any of those systems you have. Please test the snapshot and if it does not work: Tell us your gcc version used in every system. (and do you have GNU grep on your AIX system?) Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-02-04 17:10:46] tessarek at evermeet dot cx Just tested it with the latest snapshot. Unfortunately I get the same error message as before. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-02-04 16:07:36] tessarek at evermeet dot cx Sorry, I had no time to try the latest snapshot. I will provide the information within the next couple of hours. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-01-26 04:39:14] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please try using this CVS snapshot: http://snaps.php.net/php5-latest.tar.gz For Windows: http://snaps.php.net/win32/php5-win32-latest.zip Also check that your grep is working (install GNU grep!) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2004-10-22 11:04:52] Bjorn dot Wiberg at its dot uu dot se My libphp5.la does not get overwritten when running 'make install', as it seems. Regarding the "255 error", please see http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=30011 for a possible temporary work-around. Best regards, Björn ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2004-09-30 18:13:46] tessarek at evermeet dot cx This does not work, because libphp5.la is overwritten each time you run 'make install'. So I tried to change it during the make install process from another session. This worked, but then I get the following error message: Wrote PEAR system config file at: /opt/php/etc/pear.conf You may want to add: /opt/php/lib/php to your php.ini include_path make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 255. Stop. make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 2.
