Reproduce code:

$qDB = new PDO ...
function addToStorage($uId) { // doesn't work
global $qDB;
$tQuery = $qDB->prepare('SELECT * FROM `articles` WHERE `idx`=:idx');
print_r($tQuery);
}
// works
$tQuery = $qDB->prepare('SELECT * FROM `articles` WHERE `idx`=:idx');
print_r($tQuery);
