I don't have Windows, so I'm afraid I'm not able to do it. Please provide the error messages you see and any entries in error_log related to this problem. But before that please check that you've deleted all .dll's from 5.0.5 install. Apache should fail. After much searching it turns out that php5ts.dll was somehow causing the problem.
