From: gmtfn at yahoo dot com Operating system: Windows XP PHP version: 5.1.5 PHP Bug Type: *Configuration Issues Bug description: Default value of extension_dir in php.ini is wrong
Description: ------------ extension_dir in php.ini is set to "./", by default. Since extension DLLs are located in ext directory in the distributed package, this value should be "./ext/" to reduce installation time. And pretty much the same request was filed for version 4.3.4 (http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=26581&edit=2). I hope the resolution will be different this time. You're supplying a default value anyway, so why not make it so that the distributed package works out of the box? -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=38588&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 4.4): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=trysnapshot44 Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 5.2): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=trysnapshot52 Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 6.0): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=trysnapshot60 Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=needscript Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=gnused Floating point limitations: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=float No Zend Extensions: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=38588&r=mysqlcfg
