Ok, well this is stock from FreeBSD tree. I didn't do anything special.
So are you telling me I need to report this to the FreeBSD package
maintainer instead?

We do not support third party patches and builds, which likely to
change the behaviour of PHP.
Please reopen the report, if you're able to reproduce this problem with
stock PHP.

Description:

Fresh install of PHP 5.2.0 caused error when running command: php -v.
This was fatal and prevented other software from being installed. Here
is the error message.
