I have to say that I'm more in favor of removing --without-pcre-regex
than adding --disable-ereg, especially now that Apache is starting to
bundle PCRE.  And I don't think the "bloat" argument holds water, it
sounds to me like more of a warm-fuzzy-feeling issue than a real
performance/maintainability issue.
