Yes, the thread got a bit derailed with the braces positioning discussion. I opened a pull request with the minimal changes I suggest: https://github.com/php-fig/fig-standards/pull/1167 Hopefully it will be clearer. I would rather work on projects that use PSR-2 (or 12) than whatever any > single individual has deemed "most readable". Agree here.
