My site uses shopping baskets to record what the user wants to but. These records are stored in a database against the user. This requires the user to register and log onto the site. Is it possible to avoid this by the use of cookies or some other method?
Is it possible to use both methods in parallel. so that the user can choose either method. i.e. choose to register as a customer, or use the default id (perhaps via the cookie) and enter customer information at the time of placing the order?
