try to mingle PHP and HTML.. that means escape the PHP and jump to HTML
when
you want the HTML.. like this...

if (!$var) {
?> <lots>
<of>
<html>
<?php
;
} else {
?> <lots>
<of>
<html>
<?php ;
}
?>
