Using mysql grant statements:
originally:
grant all privilges on name.* to [EMAIL PROTECTED] identified by 'pass';
grant all privileges on name.* to user@'%' identified by 'pass;
and just now
grant all privileges on name.* to user@'127.0.0.1'...
