"It is not possible to style the button on a 'file' input. This form element
uses the operating system of the client machine to generate the 'browse'
button. It is a total pain in the a*** I know but it just can't be
done...sorry !"

Everything else I've read backs this up. You can, with great effort, work around
using the file input element at all, but it is sketchy at best.

Subject: [PHP] CSS Question

Can anyone either recommend a good mailing list to discuss CSS style
sheets or answer the following question?

When I call BACKGROUND-COLOR: #??????; and COLOR: #??????; on a file
input: (<INPUT TYPE=FILE NAME='foo'>) both the part which shows the file
and the "Browse" button get colored. Is there any way to specify
"Button Only"?

I tried googling and can't find anything. I would be much appreciative
of any help -- even if it's just an RTFM to a good M. :-D

Many thanks in advance,

-Dan
