Matt, You're not by any chance using an Apache server on a machine that also has a firewall, are you? I've had all sorts of mysterious session-related problems when running scripts on my test server (Apache on Win2k with a ZoneAlarm firewall). Took me *ages* to zero in on the source of the problem. Now whenever I need to test a script that involves sessions, I simply disconnect from the internet and shut down my firewall.
