I have not changed my configuration lateley, what I know of. There is another guy working on the server, but he said he had changed nothing either. I've been running this configuration for a couple of months now and it has never caused me any troubles.

Sounds to me like the apache process is segfaulting when PHP's error handler is invoked. You say it used to work for you, what changed recently? Did you install a new version of Apache, or PHP? Did you change the configuration of either? Is there anything in the apache error log?
