This is kind of standard tutorial javascript. Try to find a tutorial site 
on the net for javascript, probably it will have an example of doing 
something like that.
If I remember correctly, I think I saw something like that in the tutorial 
for javascrip in http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/  (it's been a long 
time).
