Both these settings are Off in my php.ini file. Kindly let me know what other setting needs to be checked. I wonder if this is due to a firewall setting, though, I do not have any problems when I browse google site directly. -gowranga
You can better check it through phpinfo(), because it might be changed through httpd.conf or maybe you're looking at the wrong php.ini...
