right, and if you look at the implementation there, you can see usage of mod_rewrite and the $_SERVER array. what i was trying to convey is that OP will need some way to access the url that has been requested by the client. the $_SERVER array is the only way i know of; if there are other ways im always up for learning something new. -nathan
