[PHP] I can't see the PHP variables....

Hi..

        I'm making changes to an PHP application (Postnuke).....

        The problem is than I can not see the PHP variables, like
echo "host=".$HTTP_HOST;

        But just in a specific module....the question is, is there a PHP
instriction to enable an disable those variables???..
