correction for the javascript syntax, it should be:
javascript:history.go(-2)


you can used in header like:

header(Location:"javascript:history.go(-2)");
exit();


or redirect like:

<a href='javascript:history.go(-2)' target=\"_parent\">proceed</a>
<meta http-equiv='Refresh' content='1;url=javascript:history.go(-2)
