[php-list] Session variable will not evaluate

I'm trying to figure out why all of the sudden I cant get my session or post 
variables to evaluate.

I wrote this:

$_SESSION['authorized'] = "yumyum";

        if( $_SESSION['authorized'] == "yumyum" ) {
                header("Location: google.com");
        }

just to see what would happen.

The variable apparently doesnt not evaluate as I cant get it to change. And it 
didnt matter on changing to non-evaluation either - My other apps with session 
variables are working so Im a bit stumped as to why this isnt work.
